BS in textile Design from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science

MA in Textile Marketing from North Carolina State University.
 
Professor Ingrid Johnson has more than 30 years of experience in the textile industry. She has been Chairperson and currently is Assistant Chairperson of the Textile Development & Marketing Department as well as acting Vice President for Academic Affairs for the college.  She has held many positions within the college including President of the Faculty Senate. 

Professor Johnson is a coauthor of the Fabric Science textbook and the Fabric Science Swatch Kit which is in its 8th edition.  She has lectured in the United States and Internationally and is frequently sought by the media to offer commentary on Textiles and Industry Trends, including Money Line with Lou Dobbs, the Wall Street Journal, Wired, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, and Glamour magazines, among others.
