B.A. from Denison University in English and psychology and an M.A. from the University of Florida in English literature.

Professor Denton has been at FIT since 1993, teaching knit and textile classes.  She has taught in the Textile Development & Marketing Department since 1997.  She has worked in the fashion industry as a knit textile designer since 1985, both full-time and freelance, and she owns a knit design agency which represents artists both here and abroad.
