Over a period of three years, he held
Fabric Development positions with Collins & Aikman
Corporation, at that time the seventh largest textile
manufacturer in the United States. He co-founded Vartest in
1986; and has supervised and signed over 300,000 test
reports covering programs such as polymer research and
development through retailer quality control.
Adam is an Adjunct Professor at the
Textile Development and Marketing Department of the Fashion
Institute Of Technology, teaching Quality Assurance. He is
Chairman of AATCC Research Committee RA24 Fiber Analysis
Test Methods as well as a Member of the Special Operations
Protective Clothing and Equipment of NFPA and a member of
ASTM. He has published numerous papers on textile testing.
His latest presentation was to an IFAI Symposium on “Saving
Lives with AATCC and ASTM Test Methods via the ISEA 107 High
Conspicuity Garment Performance Specification.” His most
avid area of technical interest is the surface morphology of
natural protein fibers. |
