Educational Background: London College of Fashion;
The Trent College of Textiles in Nottingham, England
|
Originally from Santa Barbara, CA. I knit my first sweater
at age 11, and never looked back. Studied Fashion Design at
the London College of Fashion and went on to do Post Grad
work at The Trent College of Textiles in Nottingham,
England. In the 70's and 80's I worked mostly as a
fashion/production liaison for all kinds of companies at all
kinds of sweater factories throughout Brooklyn and Jersey
City. I collected a great deal of knowledge there, and also
about 4 or 5 hand flat knitting machines which came in very
handy when I finally started my own
Swatch/Design/Development Studio about 15 years ago.
I live near Flemington, NJ in a beautiful old Grist Mill
which I have spent the last 25 years renovating and
generally tinkering about on. I have a small menagerie of
chickens, ducks, dogs, sheep and 2 emus.
