FREECYCLE ART SUPPLIES

What does it mean to Freecycle?

Let’s say you have art supplies you do not need. For example, you created a project for personal use or a class. There are left over pieces of foam core, tracing paper, velum, crayons, markers and a partially used box of colored pencils. It is something that isn’t worth storing or packing or mailing home.

Freecycle it!

Yes – drop it off in THE CENTER up on the 7th floor of the Student Center – building “A” - room A739.

There are shelves filled with art supplies waiting to be picked up by students who need art supplies.

Do you need some art supplies? Before you shop – see what is available in Freecycle!

That’s all there is to it. Open to all FIT students. Faculty and Staff who have any left-over art supplies may drop it off at the Freecycle center too.

In the interest of Sustainability – and as we all learn to Go Green – and save some money – note that imbedded in Freecycle is RECYCLE.

Bring old art supplies, foam core, fabric, paper, mat boards, wallpaper, markers, pencils, etc., to THE CENTER: room A739.

Any questions? Contact Prof. Philip Milio in Student Life: Philip_Milio@FITnyc.edu

Our inventory is dwindling.
  • If anyone knows colleagues who have art supplies they want to FREECYCLE (not donate - that's different) please let them know about the Freecycle Art Supply in room A739. This all based on the honesty system. We hope you drop off what you do not need. Help yourself to what you can use. If you find you cannot use what you take – please return it to the Freecycle area in A739.

Thanks.
