A successful strategic-planning effort depends on the participation of the population it is designed to serve. At FIT, President Joyce F. Brown is committed to encouraging broad involvement throughout the college community and to maintaining open lines of communication during the process.

A number of committees are at the heart of 2020: FIT at 75. They include the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and two roundtables composed of members of the faculty and student body, administration, staff, the Board of Trustees, and the Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries.

The committees below were involved in crafting the approved strategic plan and the challenges articulated during the process. Included are the names of members at the time of formation. New committees are coming together as needed during the current (ongoing) implementation phase, and other members of the FIT community may be called upon to serve.
