 Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Statement
The Security Department works closely with FIT’s
Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance Department to
demonstrate the College’s commitment to assuring both the
personal security and safety of FIT’s students, faculty, and
staff while they are on campus. As part of this shared
mission, the Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance
and Security Department staff members meet regularly.
These meetings discuss how both Departments can
effectively work together to resolve hazardous conditions
such as, unsafe behavior and incidents of improper chemical
use. In addition, the Environmental, Health, and Safety
Compliance Department helps train Security Department staff
to make them an integral part of the campus’ accident and
fire prevention programs.
