Packages

All current resident students are able to receive packages while living in the residence halls. Please not that the mailrooms are open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, and that is the only time that packages can be received and picked up.
Once the mailroom receives a package addressed to a student, he or she will receive a slip in his or her mailbox letting him or her know that the package has arrived.
The mailrooms are located in the basement of Kaufman Hall and the 1st Floor of Coed Hall.

Mail Forwarding Information

Only students who are leaving the residence halls PERMANENTLY are able to forward mail. Students returning for Spring semester will have their mail held in the F.I.T. mailroom until their return.

When leaving the residence halls, it is each student’s responsibility to follow these guidelines regarding forwarding mail:

Two weeks prior to departure, contact everyone from whom you receive mail to give them your new address.  This includes magazine subscriptions and Paetec/Campus Link.

As a courtesy, the mailroom will forward first class mail only if the student provides mailing labels.  Mail will be forwarded to residents who provide labels for up to 30 days, or until the labels run out (which ever comes first).

To ensure proper mail forwarding, please ensure that labels are provided on 8 ½ x 11 sheets and printed in the following format:

Your first name and last name (spelled correctly - no nicknames or abbreviations)
    Your new street address
Your new apartment #, suite # or room #
Your new city, state, and zip code

    Example:

NOTE: Students should discourage friends or family members from sending cash through the mail.
