REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR DEGREE STUDENTS*

*If you have not been formally admitted to a FIT major, please see Registration information for non-degree students.

All continuing degree students must register for classes on or soon after their assigned registration date. 

 

Registration dates are available online.  Select "Registration" and then select "Check Your Registration Status" to view registration date and any holds.

 

Access to web registration starts at 6:00 AM on your assigned registration date.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:


ADVISEMENT: Attend an individual or group advisement session as scheduled by your major department.


DEGREE AUDIT: Check your degree audit carefully. See website for details and FAQs. Come to the Registrar's Office for  graduation advisement if you have any questions about degree requirements.  (Click the graduation advisement link for specific dates and times of walk-in advisement.)

 

HOLDS: Clear any holds placed on your records with the department that initiated the hold.

 

COURSE SCHEDULE:  The most up-to-date course offerings can be found on the web at http://myfit.fitnyc.edu. Course offerings are subject to change without prior notice.  Or you can view the full schedule of classes, including those with major restrictions, in pdf format.  Select the term you wish to view from the left.  Please note, you must use the Course Registration Number (CRN) to register on the web or in person for a particular course section.

 

SPECIAL PERMISSION: To register for a class that requires special permission, see the department offering the course. If approved, the department will either give you permission to register on the web or give you a signed Add/Drop and Special Approval Form that must submitted in person in B103. Please note that a $25.00 fee will be charged for in-person processing.  No fee will be charged if you are given permission by the department to register on the web.

 

WEB REGISTRATION: 

 

• If you use the web to change your schedule no add/drop fees are charged. Self-service terminals are now available in B103.

 

• See web registration instructions for step by step instructions, including screen shots and common registration error messages. 

 

IN PERSON REGISTRATION IN B103 IS AVAILABLE FOR SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:


• To submit an 'Add/Drop and Special Approval Form' signed by the department offering the course.


• To drop all your classes and withdraw from the college.
