Quality Assurance Managers
"Quality
assurance manager recognize that quality is built into a
product. Quality cannot be inspected into a product.
Therefore, if a firm is going to make products of consistent
quality, concern about quality outcomes permeates everyone's
responsibilities. The role of the quality assurance
manager is to maintain everyone's awareness of the
importance of quality to the firm and to coordinate efforts
to produce and distribute products that incorporate the
intrinsic quality level desired. Quality assurance
managers analyze product development and the production
process and their relationships to product quality.
The more complete the quality manager's product knowledge,
the better able he or she is to communicate quality
priorities. Quality assurance managers may work on
site with vendors and factories to identify and resolve
manufacturing problems"
