PH119 – International Photographic Study and Practice
This basic elective photography course focuses on the photographic image within a global environment. Students explore cultural themes and develop an understanding of digital photographic techniques including the proper use of digital cameras, managing digital files and sharing images via an image sharing website.
1.5 credits; 3 studio hours

The photography department of FIT is offering its first study abroad course in northern Italy in summer 2009. The class is based in Como with easy access to the splendor of Lake Como and the cosmopolitan energy of Milan. Field trips include a multi-day trip to Florence and a day trip to Bellagio. FIT is partnering with Politecnico Di Milano for the class. The Politecnico Di Milano has state-of-the-art photography facilities that include shooting studios and digital labs.
