Country Information
Sites contain comprehensive information on individual countries, including statistics, economic, political and social information, geography, transportation system etc. Business Source Premier & Business Searching Interface Contains country profiles, country reviews, political risk, economic studies and country forecasts (available on Digital Library only). Country Studies/ Country profiles http://memory.loc.gov/frd/cs/ The country studies are no longer kept up to date. These studies were published by the U.S. Department of the Army between 1988 & 1998. The country profiles series is kept up to date. There are also links to other sites via Portals to the World. Infonation http://www.un.org/Pubs/CyberSchoolBus/infonation/e_infonation.htm Statistics on countries: the economy, environment, health and technology. STAT-USA/Internet Country Commercial Guides and many other country specific reports on products etc. (available on Digital Library only). U.S. Department of State http://www.state.gov/www/regions.html Includes Background Notes and information such as travel, overseas business and living abroad. World Factbook http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html CIA publications for over 150 countries.

International Trade Centre http://www.intracen.org/ Includes imports and exports by country (See aggregated trade statistics). Statistics derived from the U.N. Statistics Division’s COMTRADE. U.S. Census Bureau. Foreign Trade Statistics http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/www/ Statistics by country, i.e. imports & exports, commodity data arranged by country and country data arranged by commodity. Information on codes, classifications, i.e. Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S. etc. U.S. Department of Labor. Foreign labor Statistics http://stats.bls.gov/fls/home.htm Hourly compensation costs for production workers in 33 Manufacturing countries and 22 manufacturing industries (apparel & textile industries included).
