The IDRC is located on the 5^th floor of the Library, next to Call Number Z in the Main stack area.

The Center maintains a professional-level product literature collection, containing many manufacturer and vendor catalogs for furnishings, lighting, plumbing fixtures and hardware, as well as a wide selection of fabric, paint, flooring, wood, and stone samples.  The Center also houses the fifteen-volume Sweet's General Building and Renovation Catalog File.

• The IDRC is open for independent study/research whenever the Library is open; Library hours are posted within the Library and on the web page.

• A number of  items in the IDRC collection are currently listed in StyleCat Library Catalog.

• The collection houses manufacturers’ product catalogs and sample systems, along with general reference materials designed to assist the user in locating products and manufacturers serving the architecture/interior design community.  Product categories within the collection include:
   

Architectural products & details	Lighting
Display fixtures	Interior finishes
Furniture	Fabric & trimming
Accessories	Source reference material

• The IDRC collection is a reference collection only.  Materials cannot be borrowed or removed from the collection area, except for photocopying.  Photocopying is limited to within the Library; removal of material for photocopying outside the Library is strictly prohibited.  It is the user’s responsibility to return photocopied materials to their proper places.

• Exact duplicates of photographs and samples found in the collection can be obtained by contacting the manufacturer or local area representative; phone numbers can be found in the catalog or sample system, or in the A-Z Index of the Interior Design Buyers Guide, located in the Source Reference Materials section of the collection. Please contact the Center's Resource Coordinator for assistance.

• Orientation tours of the Interior Design Resource Collection can be arranged; please call for an appointment.
