Latin America Concentrations

 see details Latin America Concentrations

A group of courses focused on Latin America which fulfill FIT Liberal Arts requirements in various bachelor programs.  The Latin American Concentration includes language, literature, philosophy, the history of art, politics and culture. Students take a minimum of 15 credits, including two semesters of Spanish, from a selected list of courses.
No extra courses are required.

AND

 ASIA CONCENTRATION

   see details Asia Concentration

The Asia Concentration is an exciting new option that allows students to focus their work in liberal arts around the theme of Asia. To meet the foreign language requirement, for example, you can select Chinese or Japanese. Other requirements are met by taking Asia-related art history and social science courses. No extra courses need be taken, and upon graduation, your official transcript shows that the Asia Concentration has been completed.

Benefits:

  • Depth of knowledge of a particular area, which can be indicated on your transcript and resume -- you enter the job market with something extra to offer employers.
  • Your Liberal Arts program will be more cohesive, so you may find it more interesting and enjoyable.
  • You will be assigned a personal advisor from the Liberal Arts faculty to help you choose your courses or answer questions about other academic issues.
