VIDEO PRODUCTION SERVICES D205 & D206 ext. 7-7774

A full service Video Production Studio is located in the D Building, Rooms D205 & 206. This facility is a broadcast quality video production studio, featuring a full compliment of camera, lighting and post production equipment. It is host to classes for the Advertising Design Dept and Advertising & Communications Dept., and provides the Administration, Faculty and Students with a wide range of video production services, including Fashion Shows, Lecture series, instructional and training tapes, promotional material and special events. It also serves as the “Head End” for satellite delivered teleconferencing, and also contains linear and non- linear video editing systems for student and faculty programs. In addition to the studio and control room, this area also features a high end non-linear editing room, D210, featuring an Avid digital non-linear editing system for the student fashion shows, promotional material and a host of college wide programs.

FASHION SHOWS

The Media Services Dept. produces videotapes of the Student Fashion Shows at F.I.T., including the sixth semester show in the Fall ,as well as the Menswear and Fourth semester shows in the Spring. These tapes are professionally shot and edited, and DVD and VHS copies are then offered for sale to the students, at a nominal fee, for their portfolios.
