Voice Mail and Telephone FAQs IT for FIT hopes that you find this quick reference helpful.
- To change a message:
- Enter Voice Mail (7-8888 etc.)
- Enter Option 4 – Personal Options
- In Personal Options, enter option 3 –Greetings, you can change personal greeting or add a temporary absence greeting.
- To change your password:
- Enter Voice Mail
- Enter Option 4 – Personal Options
- In personal Options, enter option 2 – to change password press 1, follow the instructions
- Remote access to Voice Mail:
- Dial 7-8888 (From home: 212-217-8888)
- When prompted, hit *
- Enter your phone number, example: 7-1234, you will then enter your password and retrieve your messages
- To skip a message: (not delete)
- While listening to your messages, hit the pound key (#)
- To skip and delete a message:
- While listening to your message, hit the number 3 twice
- Hit the 7 key to delete
- To Transfer a Call
- After conversing, ask party to hold
- Press TRF.
- Receive interrupted dial tone
- The LCD displays: XFR
- Dial destination station’s extension, hang up or wait for answer.
- If transferring party hangs up, that station’s number appears in the center of recipient’s display.
- Last Number Redial
- To recall the last five (5) numbers dialed .
- Press LNR/SPD key/button.
- Receive dial tone.
- Press *. Outside or internal station is automatically redialed.
- Conference Calls
- With call in progress, ask party to hold.
- Press TRF key/button, receive interrupted dial tone.
- Dial desired number.
- After call is answered, press CNF.
- CNF LED lights.
- The LCD displays: CNF
- Three-way conference is established.
- If one party hangs up, the other two remain connected. CNF LED goes out
