Microsoft Campus Agreement Office Professional Home Use
The Fashion Institute of Technology
and Microsoft have entered into an agreement that
provides for the use of specifically licensed Microsoft
products on home computers. The following questions and
answers will provide you with the information necessary
for obtaining Microsoft software for home use.
How do I qualify for this
agreement between Microsoft and FIT?

You must be an active employee of the
college. This includes full- and part- time faculty, full-
and part-time classified staff or all administrators. This
does not include student employees or temporary
staff.

You must use this software for college-related
activities.
·
You must own or lease the computer on which
the software is to be installed.
·
You are eligible to obtain one copy only of
each of the specified software applications.
·
The software can be installed on one
computer only. This can be a desktop computer or a laptop
computer. Installation on multiple computers is not
permitted under this agreement.

You must sign the agreement between you and
the college that identifies the responsibilities of using
the software.
How can I get Microsoft software
for home use?
·
Access the
Microsoft Campus Agreement Professional Home Use
form from the Information Technology home page.
·
Fill out the personal information on the top
of the form.
·
Carefully read the terms of the agreement.
·
Select the software you would like to obtain
from the list on the bottom of the form.
·
Print the form by using the print feature of
your browser.
·
Sign and date the agreement.
·
Send the signed form to Information
Technology, Customer Service C305B. Allow 48 hours for
processing please.
What is the cost of the software?
·
The cost is determined by the number of CDs
required for the complete duplication of the software
application.
·
At this time there is no cost to obtain
software covered under this agreement. FIT reserves the
right to amend this agreement as necessary to cover
administrative, licensing and duplication costs.
·
All applications are duplicated by the entire
set of CDs. The agreement does not provide for partial copy
of software applications.
Once I have submitted my request
to Information Technology, what can I expect?

Information Technology will confirm your
employment status with Human Resources.
·
Upon confirmation of employment, Information
Technology will fill your order.
·
You will be notified when your software can be
picked up. You must pick up your software in person with a
valid FIT ID.
·
Once a signed agreement is received in
Information Technology, the order is processed. Replacement
for defective copies will be made by even exchange within 30
days. Any CDs that are marked or damaged by the customer
will be ineligible for exchange.
Is there technical support
available for home installations?
·
There can be no technical support available
for home use of Microsoft products.
·
To determine if your home system can support
these products, please refer to the
Microsoft Campus Agreement page.
·
Select the software application you would
like. The hardware specifications for the package will be
displayed.
·
Information Technology is not
responsible for installations of software applications on
home computers.
Can I continue to use these
applications if I am no longer an active employee of the
college?
·
Under the terms of the agreement, only active
employees are eligible to take advantage of this agreement
between Microsoft and FIT.
·
Upon termination from the college, you are no
longer covered by the agreement and must remove the
applications from your home computer. Failure to do so puts
you in violation of the agreement.
·
You will be responsible for any losses,
financial or otherwise, incurred by FIT as a result of your
use of these applications.
