Note: Faculty and administrators network directories are not limited to
1 GB but initially built with a 1 GB quota. We have a “no questions asked” policy with regard to increasing faculty and administrators 50MB’s per request. Larger requests require some explanation, but will generally not be denied.
We manage disk quotas to help us manage server space, not to restrict users. Please remember that if we do not manage server space, if someone uses up the remaining space on a server, even if unintentional, then there is no more swap space left and the server will crash.
