Attention Users of the Wireless Zone:

Beginning Monday, September 25, at 8:00 am, FIT will begin a new process to validate anti-virus protection and security updates on the wireless network-FITNet. These actions are necessary due to continual virus activity, which affects everyone using the wireless network.

The first time you sign on to the wireless network on or after September 25, you will have to authenticate a second time, next, you will be asked to allow a security program to check your computer. If your computer is not equipped with anti-virus software or has a security flaw, you will be directed to a remediation site to correct the issue. Security validation for FITNet wireless access will be repeated on your laptop on a monthly basis while you are logged on to the wireless network, FITNet.
