Q: Is it true that a Flash/Thumb USB Drive is the most reliable method for me to carry my data around?
A: Certainly Flash/Thumb USB drives are very reliable, but they are not 100% corruption-proof. What this means is that it IS possible for you to lose data stored on a Flash/Thumb drive. The only way for you to ensure that your files are safe is to store them in several locations. If you have a really important file, such as your Final Project, please make sure this file is saved in numerous locations such as: 1) Burn onto a CD; 2) Save in your Network Share; 3) Save a copy on your home computer; and 4) E-mail a copy to yourself as an attachment.

Q: I only a have a few small files on my Flash/Thumb USB drive, but it says that I don’t have anymore space on the drive.
A: Make a copy of your files by moving them to the desktop on a PC or Mac. Reformat your Flash/Thumb USB drive and you will find the correct amount of free space available. You can now copy your files from the desktop back to your Flash/Thumb USB drive. Feel free to ask any technologist on-duty to assist you.

Q: I’ve just scanned in some pictures in Room CC15, and why can’t I print them out?
