Orientations And Application
Deadlines
The following information is for students
interested in interning through the Internship Center during the
Winterim/Spring 2010 semesters. This includes those of you who are
bachelor-degree students needing to take
IC 498 for graduation as well as those of you who are associate-degree students wanting to take IC
298
and Master's-degree
candidates needing IC 592. There are also optional IC 296
and IC 297, as well as, IC 496 and IC 498 internships.
There are
two
MANDATORY tasks to be accomplished the semester before you want
to intern and before application deadlines (for a more detailed
breakdown click here.)
The first task is to
attend an orientation*
so as to learn important
details about the Internship Center's online application and
interviewing/counseling and placement
processes and to get answers to any questions you might
have.
The Internship Center is holding the following
orientations for students interested in applying for
Winterim and Spring 2010 internships**:
Internship Center Orientation Meetings are being held at the
Half Auditorium, 2nd fl C building or Katie Murphy
Amphitheatre, 1st floor, D building on --

The second task
is to complete
an online application and upload 4 application documents
by the appropriate deadline:
- 7 days after the date
of the orientation you attended!
*
You are required to attend ONE orientation
the semester before you want to take an IC course.
If you attend that orientation and apply to the IC, only to
decide that you want to intern another semester entirely, you
are required to attend another orientation altogether and apply
to the Internship Center all over again. This is because
policies and procedures change from time to time.
** All orientations are at least one hour.
Please plan to stay for the entire hour.
**
Students arriving
more than 15 minutes late will not be given
the registration packet needed to apply and
must therefore attend another orientation.
