For Prospective Students

Welcome Students!

The entire FIT Internship Center team appreciates your interest in learning about our nationally-recognized college-credit internship program --- customized experiential-educational opportunities that advance you personally, academically professionally AND raises your marketability in the global world of work!

  • If you are a registered FIT student, you MUST attend one of our mandatory orientations the semester before you plan on interning, in order to qualify for an FIT internship.

  • If you have plans on studying abroad and will be out of the country the semester before you have plans on interning, we hold special early orientations during the end of each semester which you can attend (be sure to check our website for our early orientation schedule.)

At the orientation you will be informed on the steps you will need to take to complete and up five application documents.  You will be required to complete/submit them online by the required deadline:

7 days after the date of the orientation you attended!

  • If you are currently enrolled at another college pursing a degree but are interested in doing a summer internship through FIT, you do not need to attend an orientation. Instead you will need to email us, giving us your contact information so we could mail you over instructions on how to apply to our FIT/NYC internship program.

  • Please note that we do not handle internships for middle school or high school students.

All non-FIT students must be matriculated and pursing a degree at their respective university to apply. They must also have a Minimum GPA of 2.5 to qualify for our program.

We greatly look forward to getting acquainted and partnering with you on this investment in your professional future!  And we welcome you to stop by to see us (A605) if you have questions or comments about our program. If you would like a copy of Orientation booklet which is given out at the orientation with our guidelines and requirements, please click here.
