Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) is located in Manchester which is the commercial, educational, and cultural capital of the North West of England. MMU is the largest non-federal university in England with over 30,000 students. Students have the opportunity to earn 15 to 17 ½ credits. Students pay FIT tuition and fees.

ELIGIBILITY

Minimum GPA Requirement: 3.0

 

Advertising/Graphic Design

Seventh Semester Abroad: students must have obtained academic advisement and the approval of the department Chairperson.

 

Statement & Portfolio Requirements for Advertising/Graphic Design Majors

Students must present a 250 word statement of goals, and submit a portfolio with a minimum of 12 color copies or printouts of recent work.

 

Deadline for Portfolio: March 1, 2010

Submit Portfolio to: Prof. Frederun Scholz

 

DATES

Fall Term: September — December


COURSES

Visual communications through studies integrating advertising and graphic design contextual issues. Concurrent studies comprise an Introduction to Marketing plus advertising and graphic design.


ACCOMMODATIONS

Students may live in Manchester's Halls of Residence, or rent private accommodations which are preferred by a majority of students. (Information is available in the Office of International Programs, Room B-119)
