WINTER 2009 COURSES

FIT Winter Abroad courses are currently offered in:

1. India
2. Italy
3. Mexico

To participate in a winter study abroad course, applicants must complete an online application, receive approval by the faculty member teaching the course and make timely payments of both the non-refundable application fee and first deposit. Non-FIT students must also submit a transcript of all college work, a brief statement regarding their interest in the course, and an academic recommendation to FIT's Office of International Programs. Winter courses are offered for academic credit.

India, the world's largest democracy, is a fascinating country with a rich history, fabulous traditions, arts, cuisine, and people. A pluralistic, multilingual, and multiethnic society, India is also home to a diversity of wildlife in a variety of protected habitats. Four major world religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here. India plays a significant role in the international trade of textile and garments and an increasing importance in South Asian fashion.
