WINTER 2010 COURSES

FIT Winter Abroad courses are currently offered in:

1. Istanbul, Turkey
2. Florence, Italy
3. Puerto Rico

To participate in a winter study abroad course, applicants must complete an online application, receive approval by the faculty member teaching the course and make timely payments of both the non-refundable application fee and first deposit. Non-FIT students must also submit a transcript of all college work, a brief statement regarding their interest in the course, and an academic recommendation to FIT's Office of International Programs. Winter courses are offered for academic credit.

IN 492 Practicum 2010
Prerequisite: IN 312 or Department Approval
Credits: 3

2010 Location: Istanbul, Turkey, with more than 44,000 companies manufacturing textiles and apparel, turkey is an important player in international trade. In this field trip, students will learn about turkey's past and present and visit textile, apparel, and jewelry factories, museums, and universities.

Apr. - Sep. 5, 2009	ITM pre-application, must first be completed and submitted to B429 for departmental review and approval.
Sep. 10, 2009	Submit online application after departmental approval is confirmed.
Sep. 10, 2009	$60 App Fee due at the Bursar's Office Upon Acceptance.
Sep. 25, 2009	$1,000 1st deposit due at the Bursar's Office, B127.
Oct. 9, 2009	$1,950 2nd deposit due at the Bursar's Office, B127.
Nov. 15, 2009	Tuition Due (3 credits)
Entrance Clearance	Go to the Consulates and Visas page for complete information regarding entrance clearance and/or tourist visas. Requirements for US Citizens to obtain visa to enter Turkey.

IT 122 Italian Conversation
Prerequisite: IT 111 (1 Sem College level Italian) or Equivalent, Permission of Instructor.
Credits: 3
