The FIT International Fashion Merchandising Management Program (IFMM) in Florence and New York is a study abroad opportunity for students who want to study fashion merchandising management in both the U.S. and Italy. Students who are accepted into the program can study for a semester or complete the first year (fifth and sixth semester) of their Bachelor of Science degree studies in Florence studying at Polimoda. The program is taught in English. Italian classes are offered to fulfill the language requirement.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ACADEMIC YEAR OR FALL OR SPRING SEMESTER

  • Students must have a 3.0 GPA.

  • Students must apply for the FMM upper division BS degree program "General Track".

  • Students must complete the FM AAS degree requirements prior to travel.

  • One semester of Italian is required.

FLORENCE TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION

Arrangements will be made for students to stay at the Youth Hostel Firenze 2000. During this time, students will have orientation, apply for the Permesso di Soggiorno, look for permanent housing and select their roommates. Triple and Quad rooms with private baths and shower are available. Cost includes European breakfast in a nearby pastry shop (hot beverage and a croissant). Wi-Fi service is also available upon request.
