Study Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising Management on the international stage with our unique degree programs:

Students study one year in New York City and one year in Florence absorbing the distinctive cultural perspective of each city while preparing for a career without global boundaries. International Fashion Design students can begin their program in either Italy or the U.S., while International Fashion Merchandising Management students begin in New York City and then study in Florence their third year.

In these two international cities, students follow a specialized program focusing on the unique dynamics that characterize the differences between European and American fashion.

In New York, frequent field trips take students into the design firms, companies, and showrooms along its famed "Fashion Avenue." In Italy, students have access to trade shows, cultural events, and field trips to Italian mills and factories. An intense mandatory week of fashion study in an additional European capital further broadens the students' perspective. The program structure provides full academic credit toward degree requirements.

The FIT International Programs Office will assist you in applying to the program and preparing you to live abroad -- helping you with housing, visas, and orienting to your experience. You will learn Italian and interact with a vibrant international student community who will enrich your life for years to come.
