For FIT Employees...
 

How can I get a statement verifying my employment at FIT?
Please complete an Employment Verification Letter Request Form and forward to Human Resources with instructions on where to send the verification letter.  Please indicate any special instructions on the form, if you would like to pick it up or have it mailed directly to recipient. 

How can I get my payroll check directly deposited?
Complete a Payroll Allocation Form, attach a voided check or a savings deposit ticket, and submit to: Human Resources or Payroll.

I recently moved, is there a form to change my address information?
Yes.  Please complete a Personal Information Change Form if you have moved, changed your phone number, your name, or your emergency contact information.  This form must submitted immediately in order the update all your records accordingly.
Please note, employees with retirement account(s) are responsible for notifying their representative.  Employees are also encouraged to notify the U.C.E. of FIT by contacting their office at 212.217.7690.

How can I make an appointment to look at my personnel file?
All employees who need to review personnel files, should be sure to schedule an appointment with the Office of Human Resources at least one business day or more prior to review.
If your file is going to be reviewed, please make sure that you have completed the release form authorizing the individual(s) who will be performing the reviewing.

I'm an FIT employee, how do I apply for another position within the college?
When applying for an available position in another department, complete an Application for a Position Change with an updated resume.


Does FIT offer Tuition Exemption to all employees?

Yes.  FIT offers tuition exemption for classes taken at FIT to all employees who work at least half of a full-time work load.  For example a staff employee would need to work 17.5 hours, a faculty employee would need to teach 6 credited hours.

Does FIT offer Tuition Reimbursement for other SUNY colleges?
Yes. Each year FIT is allocated a certain amount to reimburse FIT employees who attend other SUNY schools.  The B-140W Application for Tuition Fee Assistance can be attained at the front desk of the Office of Human Resources.
