Presidential Scholars Application Instructions:
Parts I and II
The Presidential Scholars
Program is FIT's honors program for students in all majors
of the college. For more information on the program, go to
www.fitnyc.edu/honors.
APPLICATION CRITERIA:
We are looking for students who have demonstrated
academic excellence and who are searching for a stimulating
and enriching honors program. Candidates should have:
Candidates will be assessed based on their academic and
extracurricular record, their responses to essay questions,
and letters of recommendation.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The application is in 2 parts. Part I is online and Part II
must be mailed in. Send requested documents (copies
accepted) to: Fashion Institute of Technology, Presidential
Scholars Program, room B602, Seventh Avenue at 27th Street,
New York, NY 10001.
PART I: After clicking on the link below, please
complete all of the questions. You will also be asked to
submit an essay. You should have your essay written before
you begin filling out the application. Please paste it into
the text box provided. You will NOT be able to save your
entries and come back to the form later.
Essay Topic:
How did your first two
years of liberal arts courses in college enhance your
growth? What impact do you think liberal arts courses at
FIT will have on you and your future career development?
PART II: Once you have completed and submitted Part
I, mail the following documents to:

Two letters of
recommendation. One letter should be from an instructor
in your major; the other should be from any non-art
instructor.
