Executive Committee

Responsibilities:

1. To assist the President in carrying out the responsibilities outlined in III A.
    

2. To create ad hoc committees from within its own membership to perform designated duties, when necessary to ensure efficiency of operation. To appoint and to charge such ad hoc committees of the Senate as may be deemed necessary, provided such committees do not encroach upon the responsibilities of the elected standing committees listed below.
    

3. To supervise publication of the Faculty Handbook (see VII).

*Adjunct – serve a two-year term, are voting members and count in the quorum. Adjuncts may be from departments already represented.

**Alternate at Large – serve a one-year term, are not voting members nor count in the quorum other than when there is an absent member. Should a committee member be unable to complete their term, the alternate at large shall complete that person’s term. Alternates elected at large shall be the candidate with the next highest vote from a department which is not represented. Running under this category may or may not result in your being elected.
