FABRIC STYLING is a two year B.F.A. Degree Program.
An Associates Degree or the equivalent is a prerequisite
for Admission.

This program offers you the unique opportunity to study
and live in a city that is synonymous with styling, fashion and all of the associated industries.

The campus is located in the Chelsea district of New York City and is easily reached by all public transportation.

Pennsylvania Station, the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Grand Central Terminal are within walking distance, which makes this campus ideal for day, evening and commuting students.

To be eligible for Admission to this program the ability to draw is not required. A strong fashion sense and an interest in color and pattern are needed. A portfolio must be presented for Admission, which may consist of Styling Boards made specifically for Admission.
The Coordinator of the FABRIC STYLING Program,
Professor Petitt should be contacted by E Mail or Phone to explain requirements for boards.

The museums, galleries, stores, libraries and theater opportunities in New York City provide the student with a never-ending “virtual” campus for creative inspiration.

An Internship in a company in New York City, the fashion capital of the world, in the senior year is an added dividend for students.

The Fashion Institute of Technology Costume and Textile Collections and Color Lab provide an invaluable resource for students.
