Students
are responsible for obtaining all information on
lessons and assignments missed by contacting their
instructors during office hours or as advised.
Instructor’s Office Hours are posted on bulletin
board outside the department office Room B521.
Important
A
doctor’s note is not an automatic excused absence.
Requirements for course must still be met.
Students unable to attend classes due to
religious beliefs are to advise instructor
prior to absence(s) allowing for the opportunity to
make up work and/or exams missed.

Students Rights and Responsibilities:
Attendance Policy
Attendance shall be taken in all classes. The
general policy with regard to student attendance in
any class is determined by the instructor and is
announced to the class at the beginning of each
semester.
On occasion, students are unable to attend a class
session due to illness, accident, or some other
emergency situation. Students should contact their
individual instructors directly, through phone or
e-mail, from the information in their class
syllabus. If students are unable to reach their
instructor(s), they should contact the academic
departments. Extended absences from class should be
substantiated by appropriate documentation.
