The Office of Curriculum and Instruction coordinates the development, review and approval of curriculum at the College. Dean Dympna Bowles serves as FIT's liaison to SUNY and the New York State Education Department (SED) for new programs and major curricular revisions. The Office also works in cooperation with the Office of Faculty Services, which assists faculty in preparing materials for review by the College-wide Curriculum Committee, and with the Registrar’s Office regarding the implementation of curricular revisions.  The Office of Curriculum and Instruction also oversees the following areas:

Assessment
General Education Assessment and FIT's Five-Year Program Reviews

Faculty Development
The Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) and the Teaching Institute. 

Distance Learning/Online Courses
The Office of Distance Learning coordinates and manages FIT's online courses. FIT offers over 50 credit and 10 non credit online courses through the
SUNY Learning Network (SLN).
