The presentation lasts about 30 minutes
with an additional 30 minute question and answer period.
If you are not able to attend this session, we will not
be able to provide a make-up orientation and your child
should follow the instructions for the first day
of class. Orientation highlights will be posted on this
site on the evening of July 6th. |

At this session we will review the rules and policies of
the program, and answer your questions. We will also
give classroom assignments. Parents of new students are
welcome to attend and you may take a self-guided tour of
the campus. You may also make changes to your program at
this time, based upon course availability.

Classroom Numbers:

Students and parents may visit classrooms on
Orientation Days.

|
The Neighborhood:
Where to eat, how to find your transportation, where to
buy supplies, etc..
|
|
The Campus:
How to find your classroom, the main office, the
cafeteria, the library, etc... |
|
The Rules of the Program:
How to handle medical emergencies, calling in sick,
earning grades, arriving late to class, security
protocol, etc...
|
|
Course Changes:
Course changes may be made at Orientation and on or
before the first day of class free of charge. After the
first day of class course changes will be $25.
|
|
After the
presentation:
Parents and students are welcome to explore the campus
and obtain last-minute identification cards. This is the
last opportunity for parents to tour the campus.
|
|
Security
Identification Cards:
You must get an FIT ID card before the start of
classes. You must show your ID to enter any campus building and wear it at all
times while on campus. If you don’t already have an FIT ID card, bring a copy of
your email or letter-mailed conformation to the Security Office, D-404. You may get your card on
Orientation Days,
but lines may be very
long. No ID cards will be issued on the first day of
classes. Returning students do not need to get new ID cards, they will be issued
an updated sticker in their first class.
