The Beauty Business-Art & Science of
Cosmetics and Fragrance
Explore the Cosmetics and Fragrance industries in this
exciting, hands-on course. Students will get a brief
overview of the history of cosmetic and fragrance products
and the language used in these industries before working in
FIT's laboratory. Students will examine hair samples
under the microscope, develop a flavored cosmetic product
and develop various bath products. The course culminates in
the study of fragrance genealogy.
Please note: Students will be exposed to a wide variety
of odors and should not be allergic to smells.
