+ Digital SLR Camera/Point and Shoot: (with all appropriate
accessories i.e. cables to connect to a computer,
media storage card, instruction manual, etc.). Your digital
camera needs to have the capacity to make images of no less
than 8.5 MB, preferably in camera RAW. You will really more
with a Digital SLR Camera, rather than a point and shoot
camera. This will maximize the use of this class as college
instruction. If you do not own a digital camera you may
use one from the Photography Department equipment room
located in D426, x75525, free of charge (for on-campus use
only).
+ You will need to store your digital images on removable
media and removable storage (an external hard drive). You
must purchase an 8-16GB flash drive as well CD-R and DVD
discs to record and back up only your digital files. Do
not use CD-RW as they are an inherently less stable media.
***For
serious photography students who plan on pursuing future
photography classes, I recommend that you invest in a large
drive of at least 250 GB Brick Bus powered, which is rugged.
