Anne Elshalakany
How many phone calls does one normally receive in a day?
Well for Ann Elshalakany, in charge of instructor services
and seat availability for the CPS, the average is about fifty.
When one includes the daily D130 walk-ins, it is clear that whether live
or by phone, Elshalakany answers questions all day long!
“Can you explain the certificate programs to me? How do I
register? Am I registered?,” Elshalakany graciously
imitates. While admitting that her normal day is quite busy
at the CPS front desk, she does not mind at all. In fact,
she thinks its fun.
When asked about the most popular classes, Elshalakany
confirmed “Most of the sewing and styling classes fill up
the quickest, especially ‘Styling Tricks of the Trade:
Pinning, Taping, and Clothing Care’.” Even she would love to
take the ‘Hand Sewing, Mending, and Alteration Essentials’
class in her spare time. But just as she confessed,
Elshalakany looked over again at her monitor, and smiled
saying, “That means I better hurry up and register!"
