Andrea Adkins-Miller

Beyond records and registration, Andrea Miller is a pillar of quality customer service within the CPS. For approximately twenty-five years, Miller has proudly stood in several student service related positions at FIT- managing student administration, data systems and more. “I try to best meet the needs of the individual, and be a positive representation of the college,” Miller stated.

Miller’s genuine commitment is reflected in many of her long-term student relationships. Miller explained that ‘Students are looking for career guidance, and want to know where they are going (as it relates to our programs).” By offering her undivided attention and guidance throughout their CPS experience, many students graciously return to Miller with exciting updates and inspiration. “I’ve had Styling students who’ve gone on to work on talks shows like Ricki Lake and Queen Latifah, Image students who’ve worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and others who’ve even become instructors here at CPS,” she confirmed.

Helping and encouraging is Miller’s professional mainstay. If not here at FIT, she confessed, “I’d be teaching eight-year-olds.” Either way, Miller proves that one can take the ‘woman out of the classroom’, but never the ‘classroom out of the woman’.
