New Mac and PC computers have been installed. They have 4GB’s of ram making them all much more efficient when using memory consumptive software, like CS4, After Effects etc.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) has been installed for evaluation purposes on one Mac and one PC (each clearly identified). By the Fall 09 semester, CS4 will be deployed throughout FIT. This is a chance to evaluate, explore and practice in advance.

The Wacom Cintiq has been installed on one Mac. By using a pen directly on screen, you can work more quickly and naturally making the creative process more natural. There will be two demonstration sessions in the CET scheduled during the month of February. Please check our calendar for dates and times.

Adobe Lightroom has been installed on all of the CET Macs. This product is in use by the Photography Department and is widely accepted by imaging professionals around the world for its ease of use and accuracy.

The CET has also added a second large format scanner. Both scanners are capable of scanning slides and reflective art as well as documents.
