After an absence, Faith Holland returned to her childhood home to find it uncannily transformed. In her series, House, the viewer gets a glimpse of these intimate family spaces that over time have slowly amassed more and more objects, from books to bulk household items, resulting in physical layers of...stuff. Here, all is visible simultaneously, and personal history is not a progression but an accumulation.
Faith Holland graduated from Vassar College with honors in Media Studies. She is an M.F.A. candidate at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where she studies photography, video & related media.
