LOCUS is a group show that explores ways in which we personally, socially, and physically situate ourselves. When thinking about our 'place,' we search for understanding and meaning in terms of both personal and cultural identity. As we explore and react to our surroundings we are simultaneously planning and preparing for the next space that we will inhabit in the physical, mental, and emotional realms.

LOCUS is a collaborative curatorial project by the candidates for the Master of Arts Degree in Art Market: Principles and Practices at the Fashion Institute of Technology. A catalogue with text by Michelle Falkenstein will be available through the gallery.
