Through her work, Aurora Robson investigates the concept of enantiodromia, a Heracletean (and, later, Jungian) concept of equilibrium, wherein the presence of one force produces its opposite. In tangled, hanging forms stemming from her childhood nightmares, Robson reclaims the negative energy of discarded plastics to create their opposite, positive objects. Works in her Jungle series hang singly or in groups, sometimes with music and special lighting, mingling with passersbys where they can tangle viewers and be touched.

Robson graduated from Columbia University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Art and Art History. Recent exhibitions include Judy Saslow Gallery (Chicago), Barone Odom Gallery (Rome) and Richard Levy Gallery (Albuquerque, NM). In 2008, she will produce a large-scale installation at The Rice University Art Gallery (Houston, TX). She is represented by the Richard Levy Gallery and works in a Brooklyn, New York.
