This stylistically promiscuous artist collaborative, headed by the Brazilian-born installation artist Eli Sudbrack, purveys its psychedelic imagery on everything from decals to t-shirts to full museum walls. The works’ over-the-top patterning and pastiche allows for a remarkably wide range of references, and its high energy often edges toward delirium.  Incorporated in the fun, yet menacing, Carnival Freakamaly, are bits of Eastern and Western cultural references and pop design elements from several decades. Here, a multi-eyed mask/head spews and eats its own utterances, which are in turn recycled elements of other avaf works.
