Hong Seon Jang

My current work explores the recognition of surroundings and reflects the physical fragility of life. I often create forms and achieve physical representation from fragile and impermanent materials, and the invisible becomes tangible through my work. In doing so, I intend to recognize and redefine perceptions of the mundane and its associations with our space and time. As a result, I invite an audience into a spontaneous and unexpected re-recognition of commonly used items. By the arrangement and placement of these materials, I attempt to transform everyday objects into new forms that embody the imperfect, incomplete, and impermanent in daily life.
