SUNY
Chancellor’s Award 2009
Each year the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence
acknowledges students who have received recognition for
excellence during their college career. This year BFA
Illustration student, Inga Poslitur, best demonstrated and
has been recognized for the integration of academic
excellence with other aspects of her life which include:
Arts, Athletics, Career Achievement, Community Service, and
Leadership. Ms. Polistur’s accomplishments were acknowledged
at an awards ceremony in Albany on April 7, 2009. Inga holds
a 3.93 GPA and her work has been published in The New York
Times and Newsday and she won “Best In Illustration” in
FIT’s ICON magazine competition. What’s more, Ms. Polistur
holds a Green Belt in Zujitsu Martial Arts. For the Brooklyn
Watercolor Society, she curated an art exhibition and
designed its promotional campaign and her art has also been
featured on the front page of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle
newspaper.

For one-year fashion
Design and Fashion Merchandising Management students.
Students are introduced to the world of fashion through a
variety of venues, including appearances by leaders in the
fashion and related fields. This course is intended to
broaden student's cultural horizons through organized visits
to a variety of museums, exhibits, backstage dressing
venues, and design rooms, including the Metropolitan Opera
house.
Faces & Places was
hosted last semester by FSN Fashion Service Network
"Survive or Thrive"
presentation gave many avenues for students to network;
leadership-strategies/solutions; and supply management and
finance.
