The Department of
International Trade & Marketing sadly announces the
death of our student Thomas Thacher. Tom became an
ITM major in 2004, after having retired from a
successful career in information technologies. He
was planning to graduate this December and was
exploring a career as a researcher in international
business. Tom suffered a stroke last Thursday and
died peacefully last night surrounded by his family
and friends. His classmates and professors remember
Tom as a friendly and bright individual. Tom made
many friends here in his class projects and in the ITM's practicum in Costa Rica last January. The ITM
community extend its sympathy to Tom's wife, Connie,
and family.
