Sophos Security and Control Virus Protection for Students, Staff & Faculty
The use of Virus Protection on any and all computers connected and/or used
at the Fashion Institute of Technology is now mandatory. Due to the high
rate of viruses released into the wild, some 100 per week, IT for FIT must
take proactive steps to try to prevent infection from spreading rampantly
throughout the college.
In order to facilitate virus control IT for FIT has entered into an
agreement to provide virus protection for the college. IT for FIT is aware
that providing protection is a 24 hour per day job, and that it does not end
when you leave the lab, your dorm room or your office.
